Muse

Muse é uma banda de rock Inglês de Teignmouth, Devon, formada em 1994. A banda é composta por Matthew Bellamy (vocal, guitarra, piano, teclados), Christopher Wolstenholme (baixo, backing vocals, teclados, guitarra, gaita) e Dominic Howard (bateria, percussão, sintetizadores, backing vocals e mixagens). Após o lançamento do álbum Black Holes and Revelations em 2006, o tecladista e percussionista Morgan Nicholls começou a realizar shows ao vivo com a banda. Muse é conhecida pelas suas actuações enérgicas e extravagantes ao vivo, e sua fusão de gêneros musicais diversos, como rock progressivo, rock, space rock, música pop, heavy metal e música eletrônica, com temas relativos à revolução.

Muse lançou cinco álbuns de estúdio: Showbiz (1999), Origin of Symmetry (2001), Absolution (2003), Black Holes and Revelations (2006), e The Resistance (2009). A banda também lançou três álbuns ao vivo, Hullabaloo Soundtrack (2002), que também é uma compilação com lado A e lado B, Absolution Tour (2005), e HAARP (2008).

Black Holes and Revelations deu para a banda uma indicação ao Mercury Prize e um terceiro lugar no NME Albums of the Year na lista de 2006. Muse também ganhou vários prêmios de música ao longo da sua história, incluindo cinco MTV Europe Music Awards, cinco Q Awards, oito NME Awards, o prêmio Brit Awards, um MTV Video Music Award, quatro Kerrang! Awards e um prêmio American Music. Eles também foram indicados para três prémios Grammy. A partir de novembro de 2010, Muse já vendeu mais de dez milhões de álbuns em todo o mundo.
